Kickstarting my portfolio with some projects.
Hello again! You may remember in my first blog post that I said I wanted this website – https://tobilobakujore.com – to be a place for me to share my ideas and projects, experiments and games. THE SIX is the first wave of these projects.
But why is it called THE SIX?
Apart from six being my favourite number, it’s because THE SIX is an umbrella covering groups of six related projects or experiments. The core of these will be 6 Computer Science related projects that will showcase some of the skills I’ve picked up over the years. Another set will be 6 thought experiments which answer hypothetical questions in a What If? Style, covering topics from paradoxes to Minecraft. And the final planned set (so far) will be 6 reviews of famous media – books, TV series, animes etc. that I’ve been wanting to catch up for ages, diving deep into what I enjoyed and what I didn’t.
How will you showcase these projects?
They’ll all be blog posts like the one you’re reading right now! In a post, I’ll go into detail about the project/experiment/media and chart my progress and what I did. There also may be additional links to other websites, like my GitHub for coding repositories for example. As some of these projects are bigger than others, they may have multiple posts, but they will all be under the new “THE SIX” category so you can find them easily.
How long will these projects take?
I’m hoping to finish all the sets I’ve just talked about during the summer, but there’s a lot of them to cover! However, I’ll try my best to put quality over quantity, as I want all these mini projects to be well planned and achieve the goals that I have planned for them. This means that there will likely be delays for some of the bigger ones, especially if I’m busy in each week of the summer holidays.
One of the first of these projects is Project TACOD – expect to see a post relating to this one soon.
Can I suggest thought experiments/media for you to cover?
You bet! Just leave a comment on any of my posts and I’ll consider it. I’m always open to suggestions and new fields to research and explore. (And my movie watch list can only grow from here on out!) Just a note: for the computer science projects I’ve already picked my six, so any suggestions for that specific set will probably be pushed back a bit.
Thanks for reading and I’ll see you in the next one.
